Where I'd Like to Be Monday

Joanna Goddard's weekend jaunt to The Netherlands has inspired some wanderlust in me.  Today I wish I could be biking in and out of the canals of Amsterdam.  It's not a place that's ever been on the top of  my list of places to go, but I would jump at the chance to spend an afternoon shopping around and taking in the beautiful architecture.

Wedding Wednesday (Our Engagement Caricature)

When we hired our Michigan-based photographer, I wasn't sure if we'd be able to do an engagement photo shoot, especially an engagement shoot we wanted, in our home, New York, so I came up with the idea of getting an engagement caricature done instead.  I have been talking about doing this for close to a year and this past weekend we finally took a walk to Central Park and sat for Whi Lee to do the three of us in caricature form.  Maggie was his first dog ever and he did a great job!!!

I never put much thought into door stoppers, make that any thought at all, then last week  I realized I had been using a jug of vinegar to do the job for the past several months.  I think it's time for an upgrade, here are some of my top choices.

I'm coming off a great weekend, accomplished some tasks, worked on some wedding decor, and ran my first race in years, a half marathon! Felt awesome after, but today, I'd like nothing more than to enjoy this incredibly beautiful (and warm) day here,

Easter Bits

Since our families are in Michigan we celebrated Easter with a good-ole-fashioned boozy brunch.

Bloody Marys and mimosas all around.

I've been looking for a reason to try making poached egg over polenta with olive herb pesto.

Someone got a hair cut.

Did a bit of gardening for the party.


The pups definitely enjoyed themselves.
